Bush serves the interests of a wealthy elite.
- Bush is trying to eliminate many of the regulations that protect our environment. This will boost profits for some wealthy corporations at the expense of our health and the planet.
- Bush's frequent "tax cuts", for example his recent stock dividend exemption, are a huge benefit for the rich but do little for average Americans.
- Bush opposed regulation of the energy industry and allowed Enron executives to conceal their business activities from the SEC, and to reap obscene profits at the expense of mom and pop shareholders and employees.
- Bush and Cheney met behind closed doors with Enron and energy executives and ignored environmentalists while forming US energy policy. Cheney was recently sued by the GAO for details of these meetings which he refuses to divulge. What is he hiding?
- Bush allowed energy providers to gouge California with obscene electricity prices during a "shortage" caused by deregulation, driving PG&E into bankruptcy.
