Indonesia
Indonesia is the fourth largest nation in the world in terms of population. While largely ignored by the popular press, it is rich in oil and gas reserves and is the subject of intense interest by the US government and US corporations.
At least three provinces have active independance movements including Aceh, East Timor and West Papua. While Indonesia is mostly peaceful, the Indonesian government has a history of brutal repression in these areas.
